St Simon and St Jude’s Amateur Dramatic Society will be staging the family-friendly pantomime Red Riding Hood starting on Wednesday.

This is the last panto of the winter season being performed by the award-winning local community theatre group.

Vanessa Dean-Boardman is once again directing this year’s production whilst several members of the cast are appearing in pantomime for the first time.

This is a modern version of Red Riding Hood but still contains most of the traditional elements such as laughing at old jokes, singing along with the song sheet and booing the villain. The quirky costumes are vibrant in colour and enhance the contemporary setting of this truly timeless panto.

The show is ideal for families looking for an activity during the school half-term break

The show is being performed at Simon and Jude’s School, Newport Road, Great Lever with performances from Wednesday, February 19, to Saturday, February 22 at 7.15pm. There are also matinee performances at 2.30pm on Wednesday and Saturday.
