BOLTON band Jade Assembly return to Manchester on Saturday night as part of the biggest headline tour of their career to date.
The four-piece - John Foster on vocals and guitar, Gareth Smedley on guitar, Danny Hayes on bass, and Andy Watson on drums - have released two singles so far and their incendiary live shows have seen them develop an almost cult-like following.
Their fans - The Jade Army - help create a special atmosphere at their gigs, one of the reasons the band have been much in demand at summer festivals including Kendal Calling and the Isle of Wight.
Acclaimed by former Inspiral Carpet’s member and Radio X DJ Clint Boon as “the best guitar band since Kasabian”, the band take their influences from classic British outfits including The Stones,The Who and Oasis.
They will bring their Time for a Change tour to Gorilla in Manchester on Saturday. Details from www.thisisgorilla.com
