BOLTON Irish Centre is hosting a charity fundraiser for Bolton Hospice and is hoping to add to the thousands it has already raised over the years.

The centre celebrated its twentieth anniversary last year and a month of celebrations in November saw a range of activities and events for people from the community.

The fundraiser at the event in Lever Street is set to be held tomorrow at 7.30pm.

The night will see live Irish and country music, as well as dancing and raffles to raise money for the good causes.

To date, the centre has raised over £20,000 for Bolton Hospice, averaging a thousand pounds a year with its fundraisers.

Liam Hanley, an organiser for the event, said that “all are welcome to come down and enjoy the craic.”

Tickets for the event are priced at £4.

The Hospice requires around £4 million a year to continue running a free service and is helped by fundraisers.
