A 57-year-old man who was hit by a car in Bolton yesterday is in a serious but not life threatening condition police have said.
They also confirmed that no arrests have yet been made.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were scrambled at 10am yesterday after a car collided with a pedestrian in Kay Street (A666) in Halliwell.
The man suffered injuries to his chest and pelvis and was taken to Salford Royal Hospital.
Traffic was diverted away from the scene following the incident, as Kay Street was closed southbound between Waterloo Street and Turton Street.
