A DRIVER who led police on a high speed chase through Bolton's streets before crashing into another car has been arrested.
The man, who was driving a black Audi A3, was spotted by officers late on Tuesday night and pursued through Highfield and into Little Hulton.
Despite police trying to make the vehicle pull over, the driver continued to try to flee until the car smashed into another vehicle, a Fiat Punto, in Byron Walk, Farnworth.
Police arrested both the man and a passenger in the vehicle.
In a post on Twitter, a spokesman for GMP's Traffic Unit explained that the driver was detained for dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.
He was also found to not have a licence or valid insurance policy and went on to fail a roadside drugs test.
The vehicle was seize by officers and removed from the area.
