THERE was great excitement at a Blackburn pub in 1991 when the latest in hi-tech entertainment was installed as part of a extensive re-fit.
A free-play jukebox was installed at the Hare and Hounds, Lammack, which allowed customers to select tunes of their choice. Tokens for the jukebox were given out every time you bought a drink.
“We pride ourselves on offering our customers the very best service and the highest standards,” said licensee Peter Winder. “And the free-play music, automatically adjusting sound system, cable TV and air condition are all proving to be a real hit.”
Peter and his wife Marilyn are seen picking their own favourites from the jukebox.
