TWO cats were rescued from a house fire in Padiham.
The incident took place at 3.53am this morning on Altham Street.
Three fire engines from Burnley and Hyndburn were called out.
A Lancashire Fire service spokesman said: "The cause of the fire is under investigation.
"Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and two ventilation units to extinguish the fire.
"Two cats were rescued by firefighters and were given oxygen therapy before being handed over in to the care of the RSPCA."
