BOLTON'S biggest park is set to get a new state-of-the-art outdoor gym.
Plans for Leverhulme Park were unveiled for the first time at a meeting of Breightmet Area Forum.
They reveal that much of the existing wooden play equipment is to be replaced with gym machines situated along the footpath — starting near to the car park off Long Lane and extending to the former zipwire track.
The first phase of proposed equipment looks set to include a cross country skier, body twister, sit-up bench and rails, pull down challenger, chest press, leg press and pedals, air walker, classical bike, elliptical cross trainer, and rower.
Added to this in a future second phase could be a leg lift station, butterfly, Tai Chi spinners, romper, stepper, and air skier.
However, the actual choice of equipment is yet to be confirmed the plans add.
