BURNLEY were held to a 1-1 draw to extend their unbeaten run of Premier League games to seven, Chris Wood marked his return to the line-up with a goal in the 13th minute, and Burnley had other chances to capitalise on their first-half dominance.

But Jose Mourinho rang the changes for Spurs at the start of the second with a double substitution in a bid to avoid a third straight league defeat.

And it worked for the visitors as Ben Mee brought down Erik Lamela on the edge of the box and Deli Alli equalised from the penalty spot in the 50th minute.

Nick Pope 7

Was a virtual spectator in the first half and sent the wrong way from the spot by England team-mate Alli. Commanded his box well to preserve the point

Phil Bardsley 7

An acrobatic shot at goal demonstrated Burnley’s confidence in the first half but he had more defending to do in the second

James Tarkowski 8

Maintained the high standards he has set this season and kept Spurs at bay after the penalty lifted them

Ben Mee 6

A solid first half in which Spurs barely had a sniff but conceded the penalty which let them back in

Jeff Hendrick 6

Burnley’s best moves came down the left but the Irishman tried to have an impact when the opportunity came his way

Ashley Westwood 7

A threat from set pieces and kept a cool head in midfield to pick out the right passes with Burnley enjoyed late pressure in the search for a winner

Jack Cork 7

Central midfielder was calm in possession in an attacking and defensive capacity and economical with the ball

Dwight McNeil 8

Struck fear into Spurs’ back line in the first half with his left wing raids and was instrumental in the goal and other chances

Jay Rodriguez 7

Lively in and around the box and had some decent chances, one of which led to the goal. Held the ball up brilliantly

Chris Wood 7

Played on the front foot and was alert to prod home the rebound from Rodriguez’s initial shot and mark his return to the side with a goal
