TWO more cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Bolton in the last 24 hours.
The increase brings the total number of people infected by the Covid-19 illness in the town to five, according to new data released by Public Health England.
Across the UK 407 more cases have been confirmed with total infection rate now standing at 1,950.
The number of deaths as a result of the virus is now 60.
Today the Government announced drastic measures in response to the pandemic which include giving the police powers to detain people and put them in appropriate isolation facilities.
People are also recommended to practice social distancing and The Royal Bolton Hospital has announced that it is banning people from visiting the site due to the changing situation around Covid-19.
Theatres and venues are closing across the region and events cancelled as the Government's measures takes effect.
