THE mum of an 11-month-old baby says she has been overwhelmed by the kindness of others after struggling to find milk for her daughter who has dairy, soya and egg allergies.
Natalie Wells could not find enough of ASDA’s own brand oat milk, recommended by a dietician as the only one with the correct nutrients for her daughter Betsy-Mae.
Panic-buyers are now turning to specialist products for substitutes, even if they do not require them. Luckily friends and strangers pulled together to donate cartons to the family.
Natalie said: “We can’t say how grateful we are for every one who’s come together and helped us. There are people out there taking stuff they may not need. But others have come together and helped.
“People are buying all the special foods, which means those who absolutely need them are vulnerable.
“It’s just a case of being conscious to everyone’s needs and not just your own.”
