A RAFT of roadworks, closures and restrictions are due to start across Bolton in the coming days.

From Monday temporary traffic lights will be in place in Crescent Road, Great Lever; and Markland Hill. These are to allow for new water connections and water works, and are expected to last until April 3 and March 26, respectively.

Temporary traffic lights will also be in operation from Monday, during off-peak hours, in Chorley Road, adjacent to the ongoing development site. This is to allow for works by United Utilities and is expected to last until Thursday.

Similar off-peak temporary traffic lights, expected to start and be completed on Monday, will also be in place in Dean Church Lane, at the junction with Willow Lane — for carriageway patching — and in Halliwell Road — for manhole repairs.

An off-peak lane closure will be in place in Folds Lane, near the junction with Bury New Road, on Monday. This is for loop cutting for traffic signals.

Then on Tuesday, temporary off-peak traffic lights will be in place in King Street, Farnworth, near to the bus station; and an off-peak lane closure in Marsden Road — this is for works by the council’s highways department.

Stop/Go boards will also be in operation in High Street, Little Lever, from Tuesday to Thursday, for water works.
