Dozens of children across the borough have been taking part in virtual PE lessons to get kids moving whilst the country faces a coronavirus lockdown.

Joe Wicks, an online nutrition coach, launched his free workouts on Monday.

People across the country have embraced the videos to help with educating their children whilst schools are shut due to the virus.

In an announcement on his website, Joe said: "With the schools closed and with us all spending more time at home, it's more important than ever that we keep moving and stay healthy and positive.

"Exercise is an amazing tool to help us feel happier, more energised, and more optimistic.

"The workouts will be fun and suitable for all ages and even adults can get involved.

"You don't need any equipment, just tune in to my YouTube channel at 9am each morning for a 30-minute, fun workout."

The five sessions hosted this week have had over 13 million views.

Sport in Bolton have been promoting the workouts, even getting Fudge the dog involved.

Fudge can normally be seen enjoying sport across the borough, but is adjusting to her new regime, much like children across the borough.

Visit The Body Coach on YouTube at 9am from Monday to Friday to take part in Joe's virtual PE lessons.
