A VALET company has "given back" to the NHS which is fighting to save lives during the coronavirus outbreak.

Matt Baker, from Morris Green, works for FC Valeting Ltd, and went to Royal Bolton Hospital to treat healthcare workers to free express washes of their cars.

The 34-year-old says the business wants to recognise how medical staff are going above and beyond to help people during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Head valeter Matt said: "We just want to give back and do what we can for the nurses and frontline staff.

"We want to them them for all the hard work they are putting in at the moment."

Matt carried out 10 express washes outside the hospital's kidney dialysis unit yesterday, Thursday, in a gesture aimed to offer some "positivity" in a time of great uncertainty.

FC Valeting Ltd, owned by Fleet Complete Ltd, shared a post on Facebook about the complimentary washes it carried out.

The post said it was at the hospital to give staff there "something to smile about during these crazy times".

"We wish we could clean every single car for the NHS staff, we're doing what we can", the post said.

Matt says the valet firm remains opens and is following the Government guidelines put in place which were announced to limit the spread of the virus.
