THE University of Bolton is to organise more virtual open days over the coming months, following the success of its first such event.

Academic staff were able to speak to potential students online.

And students — both home and abroad — were able to get a glimpse into life at the university and course details.

The University of Bolton has organised further virtual Open Days on Wednesday May 6, Wednesday June 3 and Wednesday July 1, from 10am-1pm.

There will be live video subject presentations and live chats from academic and support staff.

As well as the virtual Open Days there will be a series of weekly live chats, starting on Wednesday April 8.

Paul Starkey, The University’s Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions, said: “During this lockdown we wanted to make sure that anyone interested in the fantastic courses here could find out all they wanted to know, not just by searching a web page, but by actually speaking to tutors, students and support staff.

“We have found that people found the days very informative and could ask the relevant person whatever they wanted to without having to venture out during these challenging times.

“We would encourage anyone to take part in the next virtual Open Days in May, June and July.”
