A MAN has been arrested after leading police on a chase up Blackburn Road.
The driver of a silver BMW 3 Series came to a stop on Willowdene Close, in Egerton, where he was arrested on Friday afternoon.
Officers seized the car, discovering 40 bags of cannabis and 40 bags of cocaine inside the vehicle.
The driver also allegedly tested positive for cocaine, and is believed to have been driving without insurance.
GMP's Traffic patrol announced the arrest on Twitter.
Photos of the car and seized items were shared on the social media site alongside the hashtag "Fatal 5", referring to the five most dangerous driving offences.
These are speeding, drug or drink driving, not wearing a seat belt, using a mobile phone, and careless or inconsiderate driving.
