A DRIVER has been arrested after being allegedly found with "drug dealing equipment" following a crash on the motorway.
A Peugeot being driven by the motorist collided with a white van while travelling on the M56 near to Manchester Airport this afternoon.
Following the crash the Peugeot driver tested positive for drugs and was arrested, Greater Manchester Traffic Police said.
On examination, items associated with the sale of drugs, as well as quantities of drugs, were said to have been found inside the Peugeot vehicle and on the driver's person, police added.
The driver of the white van was reported to have been taken to hospital for "checks".
