POLICE are appealing for the public's help to tackle people riding dirt bikes in public places.

It comes after officers from Greater Manchester Police's Bolton West team seized three offroad motorbikes.

One of the bikes was seized from 17-year-old who had been riding the bike in Marsh Fold Lane, Heaton, when they were stopped by officers.

Police found that the teen was riding without a licence or insurance and so reported them for a summons.

Another was then later seized by officers on patrol in Moss Bank Way.

This third bike had been seized by officers in Johnson Fold on April 13.

Again the rider was found to have no licence or insurance and was reported for a summons.
