A BUSINESSWOMAN has raised over £1,000 for charity by completing a daily skip and dance.

PR boss Lisa Forshaw has been posting daily videos of herself dancing over the past few weeks.

The money raised by the local lass will be split between Bolton Hospice, Fortalice, BACKUP North West, Urban Outreach, Bury Cancer Support Centre, and the Gary Parkinson Trust.

Lisa said: “The funds of so many charities have been badly hit by the coronavirus restrictions, I just want to help a few of them that I know do brilliant work locally.

“Skipping and dancing each day for just a few minutes is a great aid to health and wellbeing. But, at the same time, we will be raising money through Just Giving to help the charities.

“I already know how generous people in my home town are so I’m sure they will want to help us ensure the future of such important organisations which do so much to improve the lives of local people.”

Now, Lisa is asking celebrities and “anyone who really cares about Bolton” to join in the fun.

She wants as many people as possible to commit to one minute of skipping plus dancing to an upbeat dance track all the way through, every day for three weeks.

Coronation Street actress Mollie Winnard, family and lifestyle coach Lisa Wilkinson, blogger Roxanna Hashemi and financial and wellbeing coach Kaye Price have all signed up to the challenge.

All are involved in the first Bolton Fashion and Lifestyle Festival which has had to be postponed until later in the year because of the current lockdown.

Share your videos with #BoltonFashskipdance and tag boltonfashionfestival, and Lisa will post them on her social media accounts.
