Police have seized another off-road bike after they spotted it being driven dangerously in Little Lever.

Officers from GMP's Bolton North team tracked the vehicle to a local address, where they found the bike abandoned.

They have assured the public that they driver has been identified and will be dealt with "in due course".

Police also thanked people for reporting bikes being driven dangerously across the borough, and urged them to continue getting in touch.

A post on the GMP Bolton North Facebook page read: "We are aware that there has been an increase in reports of off road bikes driving dangerously on our roads, pavements and open spaces, and we thank the public for their support in reporting these matters to us.

"If you see bikes like this being ridden on a road or public place, please use the live chat function on our GMP website to report, or if you are unable to do this, ring 101.

"Also, if you have any further information about the riders of these bikes or where they are being stored when not ridden, please contact us in confidence either directly or via Crimestoppers."
