Police arrested a drug driver at Astley Bridge Asda in the early hours of this morning.
The black Hyundai failed to stop for a GMP Traffic patrol on Blackburn Road, heading towards the Asda car park.
After a change of heart, the driver decided to pull over, where they were found to be driving on a provisional licence and without insurance.
Police arrested them on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drugs after the driver allegedly tested positive for cannabis and cocaine.
The car has been seized.
