A kids sports classes group has been upping its work during the coronavirus lockdown to make sure children keep active at home.

Kickstarterz, run by Jonathon Sands, based in Atherton, has been running live videos every Monday to Friday at 10am to help families and their children get active.

These activities, designed to be fun for all kids, include interactive dancing, scavenger hunts, story telling, and other physical activities using everyday items around the house.

Kickstarterz was created by Jonathon and his partner Sam in January 2019, as he didn't feel there were enough sport or exercise classes for young and pre-school children.

The classes aim to "promote healthy living, have fun, and let children be children."

Mr Sands said: "I just wanted to help people out with their kids at home to help keep people active.

"I've got two kids myself and just wanted to help others keep their kids entertained.

"We've made lots of activities using household items and are asking people to create their own as well."

Videos are posted on Facebook with Jonathon receiving good feedback so far.

He said: "Gives me a lot of satisfaction knowing people are taking part.

"I'm quite taken back with the feedback so far."
