A male has been arrested after a spate of burglaries and attempted theft.

Greater Manchester Police's Bury Facebook pages announced the arrest this morning, with the arrest itself happening yesterday morning.

The man was named as Paul Rogers, of no fixed address, who has been charged with stealing house and car keys in a burglary in Brandlesholme Road, Greenmount, and attempting to steal a Mercedes on May 5.

He has also been arrested for stealing cash in a burglary in Countess Lane, Radcliffe on May 3 and stealing diesel from Tesco at Hindley on May 9.

He is appearing at court this morning.

The post said: "After some great teamwork, during the morning of Tuesday May 19, Bury Divisional Tasking Team located and arrested a male named Paul Rogers in the Bolton area, on behalf of the Tottington and Radcliffe Neighbourhood teams who came on duty that afternoon to deal with him in Custody.

"After many hours of administration and liaising with the Crown Prosecution Service Rogers was charged late that evening with two sneak in burglary dwellings, one on Countess Lane and one on Brandlesholme Road, attempt theft of motor vehicle and theft of fuel.

"He was remanded in Police custody and will be appearing before the Courts this morning. Remember to keep those doors locked."
