A pedestrian was injured yesterday evening after being hit by a car on Wigan Road.
The man, in his 20s, was taken to hospital following the collision; luckily his injuries were not life-threatening.
Police were called shortly before 6pm on Wednesday evening to a report of a collision between a black BMW and a pedestrian, Greater Manchester Police have confirmed.
The crash happened near to the BP garage on Wigan Road, officers then sealed off a stretch of the road between Melbourne Road and Langley Driver following the crash.
The road was reopened again just before midnight.
No arrests were made, GMP have said.
