A TEENAGER who broke into two sites on Bury Market has appeared before magistrates.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, burgled Katsouris Delicatessen in Bury on May 6 and stole £1,000.

And the youth had also broken into a mobile phone stall at the market, on April 24, the court heard, and stole a handset.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court the 17-year-old, admitted to both offences.

He was referred to the Bury Youth Offender Panel for 12 months and was ordered to pay £3,850 in compensation.
