A MAN posing as an NHS worker entered a pensioner's home after asking to use the toilet- before searching through her bedroom.
The alleged attempted burglary took place in the Unsworth area on Monday afternoon according to police officers from Greater Manchester Police's Bury North team.
A man had knocked on the woman's door wearing a dark blue uniform- complete with an ID badge and stethoscope- before striking up a conversation.
He then asked to use the toilet and entered the property uninvited.
The woman then found the male searching through wardrobes in a bedroom, challenging him before he made off having taken nothing.
The man is described as white, 6ft tall and is approximately 30-years-old.
In addition to the dark blue uniform, he was wearing a baseball cap.
