POLICE have found a dangerous cannabis farm after raiding a flat in Breightmet.
Officers from the Bolton North neighbourhood policing team visited the flat on Ennerdale Gardens, Breightmet, yesterday to execute a drugs warrant.
When they entered the property, they discovered the growers had bypassed the electric meter, a dangerous practice that puts other residents in the block at risk from fire.
Dozens of plants were found inside the flat, which have now been removed for destruction.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify those behind the farm so action can be taken against them.
Officers have urged anyone with information about the supply of drugs in your community to contact the non-emergency number, 101, or use the GMP live chat on the website.
The independent charity, Crimestoppers, can also be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
