A DRUNK driver was clocked at 54mph on a Bolton Road- before failing a roadside drugs test.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police have been out across the region as part of their speed enforcement campaign.
The officers stopped driver of the VW Golf in Moss Bank Way and recorded a speed of 54mph.
The woman was subsequently arrested for drug driving and excess speeding.
Many more drivers were stopped across the borough today- including seven for speeding in just one hour.
Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham has previously said that four in 10 cars on the roads in Greater Manchester were taking advantage of quieter conditions during the coronavirus lockdown by exceeding the speed limit
The region’s mayor said figures show an expected large decrease in the number of vehicles on the roads, but the number of speeding motorists has doubled.
