Children aged four to 11 are being invited to take part in a summer reading challenge.
The Silly Squad challenge starts tomorrow and children will receive a medal if they read six books over the summer.
Physical books and digital books, which can be downloaded using their library card, both count so there's no excuse not to take part.
A Facebook group is also being set up with ideas for activities families can take part in throughout the summer.
Reading is incredibly beneficial for a child's well-being. It can help them perform better at school and feel more connected to the world.
To celebrate the launch of Silly Squad this week fun resources are being made available online by Bolton Library.
Today there's the chance to play some Egyptian board game and on Friday at 11am Shasha will be reading her favourite silly story on Facebook live.
On Sunday Emma will be sharing children's book recommendations at 11.30am on the Bolton Library and Museum Services Facebook page.
Each week Emma provides book recommendations for children and young people.
