A BOLTON man has denied a charge of threatening to kill another man.
Appearing via video link at Bolton Crown Court from HMP Forest Bank, Austin Mort, 25, of Westbourne Avenue, Bolton, pleaded not guilty to a charge of threatening to kill James Fletcher on May 4, 2020.
On May 6, 2020, Mort pleaded guilty to two charges of assault at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court.
Mort admitted a section 49 assault by beating of Mr Fletcher on May 4, 2020 and also pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Tyler Bolton on the same date.
Remanding Mort in custody, Judge Graeme Smith set a provisional trial date to take place in October 2020 at Bolton Crown Court.
He also asked for a pre-sentence report to be prepared ahead of Mort's next appearance at Bolton Crown Court on July 9.
