POLICE are on the look out for a BMW driver after a crash in Halliwell last night.
The motorist smashed the rear of his silver BMW into a wall in Brownlow Way causing extensive damage to the car.
However, he fled the scene and the car was later recovered, police said.
Images captured by officers show the wrecked saloon car with its boot and rear windscreen completely crushed, and rear wheels broken off the chassis.
In a Tweet, GMP Traffic said: "RTC reported last night on Brownlow Way Halliwell.
"The BMW came off second best in this encounter. Witnesses saw a male running off from the scene. What's left of the car has been recovered. Enqs ongoing.
"They don't make walls like they used to!"
