A MAN who had just been released from prison has been electronically tagged after he went to an address in Weymouth Street, Halliwell on June 3 in breach of a restraining order .

At Manchester Magistrates' Court Elyas Saddique, aged 49, of Howscroft Close, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offence.

He was sentenced to a further 12 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months and is subjected electronic monitoring banning him from going to the area bounded by Halliwell Road, West Raglan Street, Ashley Lane, East Wolfenden Street Myrrh Street and Astley Brook for 12 months.

Saddique was also ordered to pay £213 in costs and charges.
