Carrs Pasties have reopened their bakery on Manchester Road, but the shopping experience will look a little different.

The popular seller of baked-goods is back selling fresh pasties every day of the week.

Customers will only be able to get their savoury fix from 10-4pm Monday to Saturday, and 10.30-1.30pm on Sundays.

The firm has also said they will not be taking pre-orders for fresh pasties, and all customers must pay by card, and contactless payments are preferable.

A reduced menu will be on offer for the time being, with pasties, sausage rolls, and some cakes available.

Only two customers will be allowed to enter the store at a time, with the rest of the queue waiting outside on spots 2m apart.

Posting the new rules on Twitter, the local favourite asked customers to be kind during their visits.

The post said: "Please be patient, we are trying our best to keep you safe and stocked up with pasties."

An online ordering service is still available, allowing customers to pick up boxes of frozen pasties from the store or have them delivered to your doorstep.
