A MANAGER at Greenmount Wild Bird Hospital has admitted causing suffering to birds after appearing at Manchester Magistrates’ Court.
In a prosecution brought by the RSPCA Natalie Kerr, aged 53, of Barlow Close, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing offences under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 on or about July last year at the hospital at Kirklees Valley.
Kerr is said to have failed to ensure birds received appropriate veterinary care and did not ensure birds were provided with a suitable environment.
Due to the current coronavirus crisis, the case was adjourned until September 17.
