Two people have been arrested after an attempted burglary at a popular retail park.
Two people, a 38-year-old male and a 51-year-old female, have been arrested by police after caught attempting to break into a store at Breightmet Retail Park, Breightmet.
They were spotted at just after 1am this morning after police received reports of people trying to break into a store at the retail park.
Officers were able to arrive at the scene within five minutes of the reports and immediately detain the two people in question.
The male and the female have been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and remain in police custody for questioning.
The incident was reported on GMP Bolton North's Facebook page saying: "Just after 1:00am this morning (Saturday June 27), police attended reports of someone trying to break into a store on Breightmet Retail Park.
"Officers arrived on scene within 5 minutes and detained two people.
"A 38-year-old male and a 51-year-old female have both been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and remain in police custody for questioning."
