A group of Sharples School pupils were ‘called up’ for a day in the Armed Forces back in 1984.
Thirty-two boys were ‘drafted’ to Fulwood Barracks near Preston to sample life in the army including having to complete a timed assault course in the freezing rain - all part of the daily life of a squaddie!
