DETECTIVES have charged two people following drugs and 'slavery' raids in Heywood and Rochdale yesterday.
Warrants were executed at houses in Gregge Street, Kay Street and Tonge Street, Heywood and on Rouse Street, Newlands Avenue and Clement Royds Street, Rochdale around 6.30am yesterday.
A shotgun, hand grenade and a quantity of cannabis were said to have been recovered from the address on Tonge Street.
And a cannabis farm was allegedly discovered at the address on Rouse Street in Rochdale along with a significant quantity of heroin.
Nine people, aged between 21 and 58, were arrested on suspicion of committing offences under drugs and firearms legislation and the Modern Slavery Act.
Police have now confirmed two people are set to appear in court on drugs charges.
Anthony Lutkevic, 30, of Tonge Street, Heywood, has been charged with two offences of possession of a firearm, namely a shotgun and a grenade, and possession with intent to supply cannabis.
And Dillan Kennedy, 25, of no fixed address has been charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine.
The pair were due to appear before Manchester magistrates today.
