A STOLEN bike which was found abandoned on a road in Bolton has been seized by police.

Officers discovered the vehicle had been left on Back Blackburn Road West in Crompton and revealed that it had been taken by culprits from an address on Tonge Moor Road more than two years ago.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) took to social media to announce that the bike had been found by the force.

And police confirmed that the vehicle has been seized by officers.

In a post shared on Facebook, a GMP Bolton North spokesman said: "Officers from the Breightmet Neighbourhood Team have found this bike abandoned on Back Blackburn Road West, Crompton.

"The bike turned out to have been stolen from Tonge Moor Road in May 2018."
