WHEN lockdown began companies were affected in their masses.

PSL Custom Kit, based in Blackburn Road, Bolton had orders cancelled and business was dormant.

Now PSL Custom Kit’s manager Will Halton said that business has started to pick up especially with the cricket season being able to return.

Will said: “We were worried that the sports clothing industry would have a major downfall. The fact that we can welcome sports back again has been a bonus.”

PSL Custom Kit just signed fifteen new cricket clubs up to its books before the pandemic and orders had to go on hold.

Will said: “We provide to cricket clubs up and down the country and obviously their kit customisation had to be postponed.”

On August 1 the cricket season can start up again.

Along with his colleagues, Andrew Hoff, Nick Kernick and Gareth Guest, Will said that from now until summer business will pick back up.

PSL Custom Kit supplies school uniforms and grassroots kits to the area.
Will added: “Once the schools are back up and running we will be busy.
“We have had to make a new booking system which can be done on our website.
“Obviously we can’t have people in the shop crammed together because of the social distancing rules but appointments can be made online.”

As well as providing training gear, schoolwear and workwear the company can create a tailored web shop through their own website for grassroots teams.

Will added: “We tend to do really well with the football kits.
“Managers of the clubs come to us and we provide the kits, personalisation and also put them online.

“Players can go straight to the link and buy via the page we set up for each individual football club.

“We always provide excellent customer service that’s why we are a growing team and business.”

PSL Custom kit opens Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm. www.customkit.com.
