A SUSPECTED drink driver crashed into a building before making off.
Police were called to Halliwell Road at the junction with Gladstone Road this morning after reports that a Range Rover had smashed into a building before fleeing the scene.

Officers with the traffic unit said the car was found on Portland Street and the driver located close by.
Officers with GMP Traffic said: "The car was located on Portland St. Driver found not too far away either. He would provide a breath test at the roadside of 80! Male arrested."
A 47-year-old man was arrested. The breath test was more than double the legal limit.
He was taken into custody to provide an evidential breath sample and to be interviewed.

Also in the early hours, traffic officers were forced to box in a Peugeot 207 which was first spotted in Horwich, before being pursued by officers into Johnson Fold.
It was stopped by officers near Moss Bank Way.
GMP Traffic said: "Peugeot 207 sighted by in Horwich. Took our patrols on a tour of Johnson Fold before being boxed near Moss Bank Way. Car had been involved in thefts on a previous occasion."
They added the driver failed a drug test and the man was arrested.
