A POLICE dog helped track down a suspected burglar this weekend.
DP Apol of the Lancashire Police Dogs Unit located the suspect hiding in roadside undergrowth after fleeing from a car that had spun out of control off a roundabout after making off from the scene of a burglary.
The police-trained dog was able to flush out the hiding male suspect by barking at him.
Police have not yet released the exact location of the incident, however, they have recently been tacking a spate of commercial burglaries in the Burnley and Padiham areas as part of anti-crime initiative Operation Bow.
