A van crashed into a bus in Tyldesley this morning, shattering the windscreen completely and causing significant damage.
Emergency services were called to Hough Lane at 7am, to reports of a collision between a van and a bus.
Only one person was injured during the incident and they were taken to hospital, North West Ambulance Services have confirmed.
The driver of the van was arrested after he admitted running a red light.
In a statement on Twitter Greater Manchester Police said: "Earlier reports of an RTC on Hough Lane, Tyldesley attended by #XT51.
"The driver of a van involved in a collision with this bus admitted running a red light and was reported for offences at the scene."
