ANOTHER 11 residents in Bolton have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
New data from Public Health England released this afternoon confirmed that 1,987 people had now tested positive for the virus in the borough since the pandemic began, a rise of 11 new cases since 9am on Thursday.
Bolton has now reported 58 new cases of covid-19 in the week since last Friday, July 24, almost 24 cases per 100,000 people.
Manchester has seen 34 cases confirmed in the last day, whilst Oldham saw 19.
Tameside and Trafford both reported 11 new cases, whilst Rochdale saw ten new cases
Seven residents in Salford, a further seven in Stockport, and two Wigan residents also tested positive during this time. No new cases were reported in Bury.
The figures cover the 24 hours between 9am on Thursday, July 30, and 9am this morning.
They provide the most accurate insight into the rising infection rates which saw Greater Manchester residents be subjected to stricter coronavirus measures.
From midnight on Friday, two households in Greater Manchester were no longer allowed to meet inside, or in their private gardens.
