These are the faces of 12 criminals who have been sent to jail this month.

Jason Bursk, aged 51, sneaked into homes in Radcliffe in the night and abused young girls and a woman.

Jailing him for 15 years with a further five years on licence, Judge John Potter told him: “Your convictions show you to be a deviant sexual predator who presents a significant danger to those who live in a community close to you.”

Tom Omona and Darren Holland travelled to the North West from London and met Luqman Hamid before they bombed a car in a Bolton back street.

Omona, aged 29, was jailed for 11 years and six months, Holland, 54, for nine years and nine months and Hamid for five years.

An explosion had ripped through the interior of a BMW parked in Back Castle Street after Omona smashed a window and hurled an improvised grenade inside.

The attack was part of an ongoing dispute between gangs.

Gary Foulkes lashed out with a hammer in the street, hitting his victim twice over the head.

The pair had been involved in a row and Foulkes, aged 38 was jailed for eight months after pleading guilty to causing actual bodily harm.

Alban Hyka, aged 19, stood to make £4,000 from working as a gardener at a Bolton terraced house packed with cannabis plants.

The Albanian illegal immigrant was sentenced to two years in prison after admitting producing cannabis.

Phyllis Wood conned a lonely man out of cash by claiming he could go on a cruise with her.

The 68-year-old was sentenced to eight months in prison after admitting fraudulently gaining £1,000.

Wood, described as "evil" by a judge, was previously jailed for 40 months after duping another man, a lonely widower, out of £80,000.

Khy Carr, a drugs runner, was caught with a stash of heroin and two starting pistols capable of firing "lethal" projectiles.

Carr, aged 22, who was said to have been minding the weapons for gangsters, was sentenced to nine years in prison.

Paedophile 96-year-old former priest Father John Murphy is spending another five years behind bars after he was sentenced a second time for abusing more young boys over a 27 year period.

“You were effectively living a lie and using your good character and standing in society to commit these offences and got away with it for so long,” Judge Anil Murray told the frail pensioner.

Jamie Roughsedge, aged 32, has been jailed for 42 weeks after he assaulted a police officer.

Magistrates told him that the offence was so serious because it was a deliberate attack on a public servant.

Jason Mullineux stole part of a bear costume in a burglary.

The 42-year-old, who has a lengthy criminal record including for other burglaries, was sentenced to three years in prison.

Suhayl Patel, aged 36, was swigging Jack Daniels during a 19 minute high speed police chase.

It took two stingers and several police vehicles to bring Patel's BMW to a halt.
