EMERGENCY services were called out to a second incident on a busy town centre road in a matter of hours.
A van and people carrier car crashed on Bridgeman Place, near to the junctions with Bradshawgate and Manchester Road, just before 4.10pm.
Fire crews told The Bolton News that no people were taken to hospital and all passengers and drivers were out of the vehicles when they arrived, following the collision.
The incident is now said to be being handled by Greater Manchester Police who have been contacted for more information.
Transport for Greater Manchester tweeted a warning that traffic signals at the junction were not working, earlier today.
Motorists were advised to approach the stretch of road with caution.
The crash is follows another police incident at the junction in the early hours of his morning.
Bridgeman Place was closed between the junctions for Manchester Road and St Peter's Way for some time from 5am, but later reopened.
