Amazon have donated £1,000 to Age UK Bolton.

The donation is part of the 'Amazon in the Community' programme, whereby the company supports the communities surrounding its operating locations.

The money will go towards PPE costs for the charity's Home from Hospital and Home Services teams to look after older people safely in their own homes.

Nicolas Verdon, Site Leader at Amazon in Bolton, said: "The work Age UK does in Bolton and across the country is vital and we are glad we can offer our support with this donation."

Suzanne Hilton, Chief Executive of Age UK Bolton said: "Like all charities, we rely on donations to keep helping older people in Bolton who needs us.

"In 4 months we have spent 70 times more on PPE than we did in the whole of last year. We would like to thank Nicolas and his team at Amazon for their support."
