A STAND-OFF took place on a roof of a building in Bury last night, Tuesday.
Police were called to Newbold Street at around 9pm after a man was seen on a roof of a property.
After a stand-off between officers and the 27-year-old man, he was led to the ground safely.
Greater Manchester Police say the man was wanted on suspicion of an indecent assault committed in North Yorkshire.
A force spokesman said: "Police attended after a man was seen on the roof of a building on Newbold Street at around 9pm on Tuesday, August 4.
The man, aged 27, was safely escorted down from the roof and detained.
"He remains in custody."
Firefighters were also sent to the scene to assist police with equipment such as ladders.
