Morrison Cafes will extend the government’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme throughout the week so meal prices will be slashed by 50% from Monday to Sunday.

The government-funded scheme operates from Monday to Wednesday in August and Morrisons is funding the 50% discount through the rest of the week.

Customers will now be able to get the nation’s favourite meals, like a Full English Breakfast for £1.62 (down from £3.75), Freshly Battered Fish & Chips for just £2.25 (down from £4.95) and Bangers & Mash for as little as £1.75 (down from £4).

Hot drinks will also drop by 50%, so you can pick up a coffee for just 50p.

The supermarket hopes the reduced prices will help budget-conscious families to enjoy a meal out.

To to make eating out even more affordable, Morrisons is also letting kids eat free all day, meaning a family of four could eat breakfast at Morrisons cafes for just £1 and lunch from just £3.50.

Ali Lyons, Head of Cafes at Morrisons, said: "We want as many customers as possible to be able to take advantage of Eat Out to Help Out.

"Many customers visit our stores later in the week, so we’re extending this offer throughout the week so they can enjoy half price meals too."

The supermarket's cafes have put safety measures in place including perspex screens, hand sanitiser and hosts to guide you to your table.
