A 32-YEAR-OLD woman was banned from the road for two years after being caught behind the wheel over the alcohol limit.

Leanne Wooding, of Two Butt Lane, Rainhill, was convicted at Merseyside Magistrates' Court and given a community order.

Wooding pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle on the A58 and Liverpool Road on March 6of this year.

She had 223 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood in her system, over the drink drive limit.

The 32-year-old was given a six-week electronic curfew order.

Wooding must also pay £85 in costs to the Crown prosecution Service and a £90 charge to victim services, making a total of £175.

She was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 24 month, with the disqualification to be reduced by 183 days if by November 12, 2021 she has satisfactorily completed a course approved by the Secretary of State.

Her guilty plea was taken into account when sentenced.
