LIFE was a drag for Coronation Street star Beverley Callard when she visited East Lancashire back in 1994 - but she enjoyed every minute of it!
Beverley, who played Liz McDonald in the top TV soap, left the Rovers Return behind for a night to be the judge at an alternative Miss World pageant held at the Bull Inn in Nelson.
The contestants certainly made an effort for the charity fun event donning their best frocks for the occasion with Beverley chatting to them all during the course of the evening.
Quite what the regulars back in Weatherfield would have made of it all is hard to imagine.
